13 Touring Swan River Valley with Veronica.

Thursday November 10th, we went on tour with Veronica.  We went to a chocolate factory, a nut-nougat factory and three wineries. The highlight was the first, Tyler’s winery. We arrived just before two busloads of seniors arrived, average age 80. They added to the fun and were great entertainment. Donelle the winery owner was very friendly and we stayed a lot longer than expected. After tasting five wines we bought two bottles with our personal label.  We had lunch at the Henley Brook restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. We did a short walk to Bell’s Rapids Falls where in August of each year people gather to watch the 124 km ‘Avon Descent’ go by. It is a race where motor boats, kayaks and canoes compete to be the first to reach Peth.  In the evening we had a visit with Michelle, (our Brazilian neighbor Ulysses’ sister) and her husband Mauro. Lovely people. The live not far from Veronica. Another wonderful Australian day.
