19 Meeting Friends

 November 19, 2022

We started out this morning at 8:00 looking for a breakfast spot. It appears downtown Melbourne does not have many early risers looking for breakfast. After 3 or more km we finally found a café at 9:00 outside the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) where we grabbed a coffee and a breakfast sandwich.  We continued to the Botanical Gardens where we met up with Jarrod and Anna MacEachern who live in Melbourne. (Jarrod is James’ and Coline’s son from Port Hood.) We had a nice visit in the gardens and met their dear children, George and Patrick, such smart handsome fellows.

We went on to meet our friend Karen at the NGV and spent a great afternoon catching up and enjoying the exhibits. It was so nice to see her after 10 years.

We walked back to our hotel, through streets filled with people. Quite a contrast to our time in the morning. By the time we reached hotel we had walked 12.5 km so we picked up a sandwich and an ice-cream bar and ate supper at our hotel.

Love Australia!!!  Love the people even more!!!
